INFESTED was
born in 2002 with the members Simon, Niklas and
Pawel. There were no band-experiences before,
but everybody played his instrument already a
couple of years. Andreas joined soon afterwards
and we began to write our first own songs. In
the following years the band had the pleasure
with a few musicians, however, nothing concrete
resulted from that. This also had an influence
on the music which changed permanently. Not many
live gigs were possible too. There also were
problems with the rehersalroom at this time,
which meant a break of half a year. The musical
picture of the band consolidated now, the goal
was brutal deathgrind. The first demo
“Infested” was recorded in fall of the same
year. All tracks on the demo were written in
2002. At the beginning of the following year
Mirco joined us as the second guitar-player. We
tried to increase our musical possibilities all
the time through the regular practice we did
during the year 2003, in order to create even
more brutal stuff. There are different
influences in our music due to the
“international” line-up (german, swedish and
polish members). INFESTED recorded a promo in
the same year called “…until it breaks
down” with two tracks in order to send it to
some labels. It was time to do a “real” cd,
for which we needed some professional help.
There were a few good offerings from different
labels, but REVENGE PRODUCTIONS was the favorit.
Now we were infesting the world with our
debut-cd “…UNTIL IT BREAKS DOWN AGAIN”
which was released in january 2005 on REVENGE
PRODUCTIONS. We promoted the cd with gigs and
festivals in Germany, the Netherlands and
Switzerland. Again, we had a small change inside
the band. But we did not rest and began writing
again new material and kept the machine going.
With a new guitar-player and the best line-up so
far we recorded a promo with four new songs in
june 2006. Max from the Band Devestator joined
us in 2007 after playing a gig with INFESTED.
With his talent on the bass he’s adding some
new fresh colour to the music.
