You are almost three years on the scene. What are you most
proud of achieving as a band, and have there been any
defining moments that stand out in your memories?
To be more precise we are on the scene since this summer
after the releasing of our Ep “Terror in Dreamland”.
We are satisfied about our first work in studio and
our live activity. One
of our best moments was playing with one of the most
important Italian Thrash Metal band called “Game Over”.
It was a great gig with more audience and a great atmosphere
between the bands.
Who came up with the band's name DISBOSKATOR, the logo and
everything? Does it have any deeper meaning for you or did
you just choose it because it sounded good?
The name born after an alcholic night of Tiziano (drummer)
and Edoardo (voice & guitar) few years ago. We have
decided to choose its because
it sounded good and on internet there wasn’t any
band or other things with this name. This word has no
translation in any languages but in italian remember the act
of deforestation. Another reason was that people remained
touched by this name. The logo was born during the recording
of “Terror in Dreamland” thanks to our friend Leonardo
Bellavista, that is the owner of “Void Studios” where we
have recorded the Ep.
Your debut release is - EP „Terror In Dreamland“.Could
you tell me something about the process of making these 4
tracks? What kind of composing is more congenial and
inspirative for you?
We have concluded these 4 songs after the entry of Filippo
(bassist) in the project. Together we have found the right
atmosphere and also the right songwriting to complete
“Terror in Dreamland”. We take inspiration from the
classical Thrash Metal and from more others genres of music.
We can appoint some bands such as Slayer, Megadeth,
Testament, Death, Pantera, Metallica, Paradox, Vektor,
Nevermore, Exodus and many others.
I believe that every band has their own way in composing
music… so how do you proceed with a song-writing? What
elements highly emphasized during the song-writing period?
Do you need any certain atmosphere or environment to come up
with a good idea?
The songwriting process start by some guitar riffs. Then we
idea until we have complete the guitar structure of the
song. This is the main phase of our songwriting. After we
work on the drum and then on the bass line. The next phase
is playing the song in instrumental and if the music sounds
good we write
the lyrics. We don’t need a particular environment. When
we are together came out the right atmosphere to write our
How would you describe Disboskator live? Where does the band
feels the best to you, in rehearsal, studio or live?
Disboskator live is a concentrate of violence, powerful
sound and energy. It’s a great moment for us and for the
public. We have great time in rehearsal and in studio, but
we prefere the live show moments.
Italian's thrash metal scene is quite big and has a lot of
many great bands. Do you think that the fact you are coming
from there helps you in a way? What is that vital ingredient
that separates a good band from a great one?
The fact that we have a great Thrash Metal scene dosen’t
help us, we think that the most important thing is to make
quality music, to reach more people as possible, supporting
the other bands and collaborating with them. This can make
I guess even the smaller bands notice that the way people
consume music has changed. Is playing live still a good way
of reaching the most people or are the more efficient ways?
Surely the live is the more direct way to reach the people.
Today thanks to internet and the media a band can reach a
lot of people in many parts of the world. These are the good
tools to spread the music.
What ways has been the best for you in order to promote the
band? What do you do to reach as many interested as
Our scope is to reach more audience as possible meeting the
people at the events, using internet, media and pomotional
agencies. We try
to make us advertising no profit and play live more as

think in the 90’s the Thrash Metal has reached its highest
point. During this period came out many hystorical albums of
this genre and the metal scene had more following. Now we
are living in a good growing moment but everybody can do
more to contribute at this development.
What in your opinion is the difference between old school
thrash (first & second wave), “old school”thrash
(the revival) and modern thrash (the rest)?
The difference between the old school Thrash Metal and the
Modern is that the Modern has been contaminated from several
genres that they have evolved this musical current. There
were an innovation that had driven this genre to more new
currents of Thrash Metal.
Something I often wonder about is how much you as a band use
your cultural history when it is as rich as the Italian for
instance in both shaping your sound and your lyrical
Our cultural history affect our way to write the lyrics also
if we often talk about actual facts in the songs. For the
sound we are influeced by the foreign music while actively
following the Italian metal scene.
What are your short-term goals and plans for Disboskator in
terms of hopeful exposure and touring?
The main goal is the producing of our first full-lenght,
dedicating time at live activity and promoting the band.
After the release we hope to organize an European tour to
promote our album. We have many dreams and targets that we
want to reach, for this we work hard with passion and
No more questions my friend. Just thanks for your time and
good luck for your future plans. Closing is yours…
We want to say thanks to The Pain Fucktory for this
interview and for the space that you have make available for
us. A big salute to our follower and to all the lectors.
