"Our personal feeling about our songs is what matters the most when judging our releases. (...)"

1. You are a pretty young band, What are you most proud of achieving as a band, and have there been any defining moments that stand out in your memories since your inception in 2014?

To us, our biggest achievements were without a doubt our first concert in march 2016 with Inner Reflections and Sound Of Memories and the fact that our first EP was chronicled on june 2016 in the French magazine “Rock Hard”, the biggest Metal magazine in France.

2. Your ony release so far is "Insanity Chaos" EP, could you tell me something about the process of making these four tracks? What kind of composing is more congenial and inspirative for you?

Well we recorded it all at home using Victor’s computer and skills in mixing the tracks. This EP is 100% homemade. The drums were recorded using an electronic drum set and the guitars, bass and vocals were recorded in Victor’s room.

3. How long time it took to record it and in what manner you wrote ideas for this material? Are you working all together as a band, or somebody comes up with finished songs?

It took 3 months to record our EP. At the beginning, Victor used to compose everything except the drums, but nowadays, we are working together, always incorporating a few personal details in each song in order to get something that we all like and that defines each of us.

4. What do you think that is most important criterion for you assessing the value of a release? Is it your personal feeling and knowledge about the songs, the press, the response of the audience etc?

Our personal feeling about our songs is what matters the most when judging our releases.

5. Vinyl format had nowadays gained unbelievable comeback. And tapes finally came back too! Do you see any advantages in different formats like LP, CD and MC and which one of them you personally prefer?

Vinyls are really interesting because they are a unique and beautiful object; they’re definitely full of charm.

6. Do you have serious opportunities for live shows in your region? What are the most memorable shows that you played? Any funny stories to tell?

We definitely have more show opportunities in Paris and Paris’ suburbs than in the surroundings of our hometown (Chartres). In our opinion, our best show was the one we made the 1st of October 2016 in Rambouillet, with The Bearded Bastards and Unscarred. But the funniest moment on stage was when Clément spilled his beer all over his pedal board during our first concert, thus completely muting his guitar. Shit happens!

7. You have gained attention of your local fans, but how have been the feedback from outside France?

The only foreign media who contacted us was you guys! Since this summer we do have some foreign contacts, such as the guys from Dust Bolt.

8. How are you guys getting alone in private life? Do you hang out as a band or also as friends? Do you think its important to always be friends first and then a band mates?

Well we’re students, except for Lou who still goes to High School. We kinda started as bandmates and then became friends. Though we keep in mind that being friends and in the same band can be tricky, because if something goes wrong it can ruin your friendship or relationship as bandmates, we still definitely have strong ties together.

9. And what about inspiration outside of death metal and music in general? What else fuels your inspiration? What kind of art do you enjoy in your spare time? Literature, cinematography, theatre?

Victor: Definitely cinema, but also Jazz, Classical and Rap music
Lou: To me, that would be Punk rock, Nu Metal, thrash metal and also hardcore.
Clément: I’m really keen on Blues, Jazz and Nu Metal
Lucas: My biggest influences are definitely located in mythology and history in general. As of music outside of Death Metal, I’m into Doom Metal, Black Metal and a bit of Hardcore/Deathcore-

10. If you were to choose one album that had a huge impact in you, which album would that be and why?

Victor: Wow, there are just way too many albums I can think of, but if I had to pick one, it’d be The Poison by Bullet For My Valentine
Lou: Same here, but I’d add Locust by Machine Head, Slipknot by Slipknot or also Welcame by Rise Of The North Star.
Clément: To me, It’d be Evil Empire by Rage Against The Machine
Lucas: I’ll be cheating on this one, I’ll mention two albums which are consider to be equivalent to me: Sacrament by Lamb Of God and Cause Of Death by Obituary

11. You know in metal business, the competition among the bands is very tough and the labels are having a part of great majority. Sohave you received any label proposal so far?

Yup, we do have a deal opportunity, stay tuned, it’s still under negotiations!

12. What are the near-future plans of BA? Can fans of the band see a new release anytime soon for the band, and if so, what can fans expect in the new music?

2017 will be marked by the release of our first album. You can expect the new material to be more mature, and listeners will be able to make a greater distinction between our Thrash side and our Death side.

13. Alright, we’ve come to an end. Do you have any final thoughts? Thank you for your time…

Stay Metal, Stay BLOODY!
