time to experience the Thrash / Black metal performed by
this band coming from Florence, ITALY. However they aren´t
simply as it is described. We can find really
fast and sharp riffs, some really evil lyrics and vocals
parts and a great rhythmic session, with blazing drumming
and powerful bass. This is the representation of their
How would you characterize the development of your band
during this 3 years and what are you most proud of achieving
as a band so far?
back to this past 3 years I'm really proud about how the
band is going on. We grew up stronger and we finally
recorded our first Ep, the highest point of the band history
until now, in my opinion... Also we are still working on new
hellish material, and hoping to record it too in the nearest
Who came up with this quite unusual name for a band and what
does it exactly means?
The name of the band came out one day in
2011 during a rehearsals session, and it was suggested by
the guitarist Axer... It's basically the merging of the
gruesome and obscure part of the band (Revenant) with the
most psychotic and delirious part of our artistic heritage
(Acid)... I think that our music fully reflects this kind of
How much time do you spend on the band both physically but
also mentally each day? Is it worth all the time and effort
in the end? What do you want with the band?
We spend obiouvsly lot of time on the band, as a big
part of our lives... I always seen music as a true way of
life, and origin of inspiration... I hope that our musical
growth will continue in the way that we always wanted to
I am curious to know more things about your debut EP and the
musical approach of the 5 tracks. I personally find it very
varied songs with thrash and black appearances here and
there, however one can also find some death riffs and grunt
and even clean voices.
Well, this EP is like a huge pit full of our biggest
influences, from all the band members. Personally I couldn't
figure a better union of our influences than this 5 songs.
We got really fast and sharp riffs, some really evil lyrics
and vocals parts and a great rhythmic session, with blazing
drumming and powerful bass. I like to ear this musical
evilness, that represents us perfectly. We got some really
fast songs as "Along the Path of Darkness" &
"Bleeding Majesty" but also a song like
"KK666" that is really gruesome and slow... Even
the alternation of harsh and clean vocals is part of the
representation of our musical identity. These 5 songs are
bloody pieces of our souls.
You've played a several shows recently and you have a
reputation for your performances; Do
you have serious opportunities for live shows in your area?
How many times per month can you play live?
Well we played a several live dates through this 3
years of activity, but our live scene in our area is really
limited... The "extreme metal" scene is really
underestimated in our area, in favour of shitty gigs of
worthless cover bands, helped by the plague of "Pay to
Play", that's really killing the underground scene
Have you started to work on new material yet? How does it
sound? Any major development since your previous songs?
We're always working on new material, evil and insane
as Hell! We're yet preparing the "sequel" of our
1st EP "[Untitled]"... We're also hoping to record
a full LP (with at least 10 songs) in the imminent future.
Can we talk about an Italian black metal sound the way we
talk about a Swedish or Norwegian?
Of course! Italy is a great country for Black Metal.
We have some great bands, like Spite Extreme Wing, Kurgaall,
Frangar etc. that helped to make the sound of Italian Black
Metal became so strong and legendary.
is it about black metal that has to be anti-Christian? Where
does that come from and how do you take it one step further
for it to not be seen as a cliché?
As the main lyrics writer for the band, to not be
seen as a cliché, I usually merge the more Satanic and
hellish part of my lyrics with a new way of interpretation
of the word "Violence", in its more psychological
way. So, our lyrics go further, trying to discover an
expression of our inner violence. Anyway I try to keep my
Antichristian inspiration still alive in every word I
are your thoughts about the underground scene and the
Italian scene in particular?
For me, a musical genre like metal (and in particular
our music genre and all the extreme metal scene) must have
some solid underground roots. In Italy, thanks to the work
of some REAL bands, the underground scene is still alive and
would you consider the hardest part about playing in an
The hardest part about playing in a underground band,
is the continue struggle to trying to not be swallowed by
the world of all the false music, made of lies and by the
heart. But is also the reason that keeps us on everyday in
our musical journey
